Statement of intent

My full statement of intent:
With the idea of a magazine in mind, I want to create a dinosaur-based magazine. After looking at numerous examples of magazines ones that included: dragons, fashion, pop culture, kids entertainment, youtubers, space, history and many more, I’m settling on the idea of creating a dinosaur based one.
Reading and looking at these magazines, I realised that the colour palettes, main image and masthead would be the main source of gaining attraction to my magazine. This means when I create my magazine I will have to think about what colours, images and titles best relate to the idea of dinosaurs to help gain interest.
I will create a mind-map or bullet point list of ideas surrounding dinosaurs so I can then create subtitles and compile information that I can gather from book and the internet to create a liable source of information for the readers.
After deciding this is what I wanted to write about and research, to make sure my magazine could grab attention in a real market I will create a survey/questionnaire to be given to the age range (10-13 year olds) that are in my school. This means I will have real world information to see if my magazine would be bought.
After receiving the information on the survey that will help me decide what titles I should include, what images I should include and what colours and information should be used.
A dinosaur magazine might be perfect for this age group as they are all still in primary school or just coming into year 8 which means their minds are all still ‘childish’ in a sense that things like dinosaurs are interesting to them.  I will then do research to find the most popular dinosaurs to write about and include
